More inventory, more affordability: these are the themes of Zillow’s predictions for residential real estate in the new year.
Zillow predicts some breathing room to enter the market for buyers with more options finally coming on line in 2024.
The company also predicts a competitive rental market, in particular for single-family rentals. Rentals commutable to downtown offices are also considered to be hot.
Zillow predicts AI will also ramp up and make the home selling/buying process easier for all parties involved.
Home publication The Spruce is seeing 7 old design trends come back around for the coming year. Bold, geometric patterns from the 80’s? Yup, they’re coming back. Midcentury Modern design is, too. The trend spotters at The Spruce also predict rich color palettes, bespoke furniture pieces, and lots of textured fabrics. Maybe the most interesting turnaround predicted is the return to dedicated spaces, away from open concept designs.
