    New-Home Sales Enjoy the Spotlight

    “New home sales jumped 10.6% in July compared to June and were up 5.6% year-over-year, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The drop in mortgage rates, along with builders’ willingness to offer concessions, helped buyers overcome affordability issues, said Lisa Sturtevant, chief economist at Bright MLS.” It looks like now might be an excellent time to purchase lots or buildings that need to be demolished and then get started creating dream homes for their new occupants. [has] unveiled its 2025 Color of the Year, Rumors, a deep and dynamic ruby red.” However, in an attempt to attract attention and ultimately traction when it comes to selling or renting your property, you are not necessarily locked into this one choice, since “new research conducted by Behr found 76% of Americans say they would consider painting a room or a wall a shade of red, with accent walls, bedrooms, and front doors at the top of their wish lists.” The article goes on to say that even a pop of red could make the difference.
